Hello and welcome to my blog. What finally convinced me to write it was my fear of becoming the quintessential scientific writer who writes a lot but so esoterically that a handful of people are interested (and even less read). I was told that true science is an art and if that is so, which I believe it to be, then I should be improving my skills in a number of areas including my writing for a larger audience. So for those of you who will tune in every now and again I welcome you, I hope I don't bore you and I hope you will let me know you are reading! I thought my first picture was appropriate because it is Justin and I at a Bee's game last summer and now it is baseball season again! Justin loves the Bee's for the sport and I love the Bee's for the socializing involved. But we both agree it is especially nice to sit at a Bee's game on a hot summer evening with our hot dogs in one hand and a microbrew in the other and just enjoy life. Just a warning if you go the the Bee's with us you will be expected to wrap an arm around the person beside you and sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch, it's tradition!
